Improving Your Skin With Apple Toner
The chemicals that are contained in most toners are startling. Not only do they dry out the skin but they create an oily surface under that dryness as harmful oils are secreted from the pores. Using natural ingredients for skin care is a much better idea, and apple toner is a great start.
This recipe is for people with oily skin. For dry or combination skin substitute the essential oil recommended with lemon oil. For skin with acne, substitute with clary sage or rosemary. Amounts may differ depending on how much you intend to make, but the recipe given is recommended for best results.
Use 3/4 of a cup of witch hazel, and blend it in well with 2/4 of a cup of apple cider vinegar. Making sure the consistency is smooth, add in a few drops of lavender oil, making sure it is a 100% pure oil. (See above for substitutions). The entire mixture should be put into a clean, dark stained bottle with a tight cap or stopper.
To apply the toner, use a cotton ball or piece of tissue, and gently apply it once or twice a day to a clean face. Do not use too much, as it can dry the skin.
